DVR has served the UHF Citizens Band Radio Operators since 1993.
It has established UHF Radio Repeaters in Southern Tasmania operating on UHF Channel 6 on Mt Lloyd near New Norfolk , in the Huon Valley operating on UHF Channel 2 on Herringback and UHF Channel 3 on Bradys Sugarloaf in the upper Derwent Valley.
The Derwent Valley Repeater Association is proud of having the best UHF Radio repeaters in Southern Tasmania.

In duplex mode, repeaters need two channels to work. Receives on 1 to 8. Transmits on 31 to 38 (automatically). When within range of a repeater, it will increase the communications distance. Operation in simplex mode on these channels is not permitted when within range of a repeater.
